The school report is ready in an hour. But it won't tell you anything about how the child is actually feeling. The "Ready for School" checkup is for parents who want to check the indicators that really affect their child's well-being and learning.

The new school year means early awakenings, long lessons, and a large team where it's easy to catch an infection. It's easier to withstand such a load when the body is ready for it, so it makes sense to get tested before September 1. Often, it's the school that reveals things that went unnoticed in the summer: iron or vitamin D deficiency is manifested by lethargy in classes, thyroid changes in adolescents affect mood and concentration, and before physical education, it's important to know that the heart is ready for the load.

At the Forest Retreat Center, the check-up takes place over two days, at a leisurely pace and without queues. On the first day, there are consultations with a pediatrician/general practitioner and a dermatologist, diagnostics of the heart and abdominal organs, tests with breakfast afterwards. On the second visit, the doctor gives recommendations based on the results and issues a ready-made certificate for the school. And all this in the atmosphere of the Holosiivskyi Forest in Kyiv.

What is included in the examination?

Consultations

Pediatrician/family medicine general practitioner: examination, anthropometry, developmental assessment, and ENT examination
Dermatologist: skin, hair, and nail examination

Instrumental diagnostics

12-lead ECG with decoding
Echocardiography (heart ultrasound) according to the pediatric protocol
Ultrasound of the abdominal organs

Laboratory tests (you can come with your results if they are no more than two weeks old).

General blood test with formula and ESR
General analysis of urine
Coprogram (please bring the material for analysis yourself in a special container)
Ferritin is an indicator of iron stores.
CRP – a marker of inflammation
Glucose
Vitamin D3
ASL-O is a marker of past streptococcal infection.
For adolescents, additional TSH and free T4 – thyroid hormones

After the examinations, a delicious healthy breakfast awaits the child.

Help for school

Based on the results of the examination, the pediatrician issues an official medical certificate for the educational institution (form No. 086/o). The child undergoes a full examination and receives the document required for school in one visit, without having to go to separate doctors.

How to prepare

Make an appointment and come with your child on an empty stomach: the tests are given before eating, and breakfast will be served immediately after the blood draw. The visit lasts several hours, so plan enough time for it. Please bring feces for the coprogram with you in a specialized container.

- Package "6–12 years"
  Everything from the "No Tests" package and a full set of laboratory tests: blood, urine, coprogram, ferritin, CRP, glucose, vitamin D3 and ASL-O.
  9 800 UAH
- Package "13–17 years old"
  Program for teenagers.
  Contains everything the “6–12” package does, plus thyroid hormones (TSH and free T4). At this age, the likelihood of malfunctions in its functioning increases, so such a check is appropriate.
